Home to School Connection

Norwood values the power of engagement. We define engagement as the teacher involving students by increasing personal curiosity, connection, and ownership in student-centered outcomes.

We ensure classroom engagement by building relationships, teaching self-discipline, and launching students to mastery of content.

What does this look like in the classroom?

  • Excited
  • Involved
  • Encouraging
  • Successful

The button below will take you to a document Norwood teachers, parents, and students have been a part of creating. It outlines strategies used in every classroom at Norwood.

Foundations of Success

This link will open the work that drives our classroom engagement.

After School Snacks on Tuesday and Thursday @ Principal's Porch

Open Door Food Bank provides hot snacks and other goodies for walk-up families every Tuesday and Thursday.

Friendship Parties on February 15th-2:00-2:30

Classroom teachers will send out information. Parents may check in at the office at 2:00. Please have a valid ID for the office. Parties are over at 2:30 so we can prepare for dismissal.

Remember that cars will have to be moved from the front pick up line by 2:30. If you are checking your student out, this is done in the classroom and the student gets a sticker indicating this has been done in the classroom.
