It’s AVID Induction Night on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 6pm! In the Quad
My message to students this week on Wednesday reiterated our focus on being responsible and respectful… As principal, my most important role is ensuring the safety of our campus. Every student and educator should feel safe each and every day. No one should worry about being bullied. Keep your hands to yourself. No one has the right to make someone feel unwelcomed, uncomfortable, or threatened here. As much as I want to make this true, I can’t do it alone. I need you to help me. We need upstanders. An upstander is someone who acts in supports of a person being attacked or bullied. We need people who are willing to say that’s not ok, that’s not the way we do things here at Black Mountain. If you see something, say something. A better school starts with each one of us. We need to do this together.
We appreciate your support. A better school starts with each one of us.

Principal, Black Mountain Middle School

BMMS Book Fair
We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. Hosted by our educators, this event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school. After missing out on many beloved traditions, our fall Book Fair will be a familiar, welcome, and safe event for our students. Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from Monday, October 18-Friday, October 22 at BMMS. Our Book Fair offers a cash-free payment option called eWallet. It’s a convenient digital account that your child can use for shopping at our Fair. Grandparents, friends, and others can contribute, too!
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop online at our school’s Virtual Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school. Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping:
