District News
MVEF news and Hobee's Give Back Day Sept. 8
As the schools wrap up their Back to School Nights, the Mountain View Educational Foundation, (MVEF) hopes parents learned more about what school foundations add to their children's educations. Neighboring cities, like Palo Alto and Los Altos, also rely on educational foundations to bring essential programs to their school districts. Here in Mountain View that includes hands-on science, field trips, standards-based art and music lessons from Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA), middle school athletics and more. A key to our district’s success is a vibrant PTA, a strong educational foundation and engaged parents like you! The colorful brochure you received at back to school night doubles as a donation envelope- making donating easy! Or you can donate online at mvef.org. Over 70% of our funding comes from parents like you!
Spend your Saturday with your family, eating out and giving back to your schools! If are looking for an excuse to eat some of Hobee’s famous coffee cake, head to Hobee’s on Saturday the 8th. Hobee’s Mountain View will be donating 20% of your bill back to MVEF – just mention MVEF or show them the attached flyer!
