GMO's

What are GMO's?
GMO stands for Genetically Modified Organisms. Plants and animals have had their genes tampered with to improve their productivity and stability. When plants are genetically modified they are able to have a more presentable appearance, better tasting and able to with stand unexpected damage that would normally kill non-GMOs.
My Position
I do not agree with scientists using GMO’s to alter food or animals, this being because of all of the affects it has on the environment and it doesn’t improve our economy at all. I know this due to the article “Pros and Cons of Genetically Modified Organisms.”. Not only have GMO’s have been proven to make “changes in internal cell structure, abnormal tumor growth and unexpected deaths” but they also “take just as much effort to grow” compared to non-GMO crops. Lives are being taken and innocent animals are suffering. The benefits of GMO’s cannot out way these facts.
