Directions:

In your assignment titled "Analyzing Imperial Motives," there are 5 different boxes that represent Imperial Motives.

The motives include: Economic, Political, Religious, Exploratory, and Ideological.

1. First, Draw a symbol to represent each of these in the boxes provided.

2. After you have a symbol for each one, look through the different placards below, and complete the chart on your paper for each image.

For each placard, you will describe what you see, draw the symbol of the imperial motive you think corresponds to the image (religious, political, etc.) , and explain why you chose that specific motive.
