This Tuesday!!! We hope to see you there!!

Math & Reading Night!!
Math & Reading Night is the perfect opportunity to learn about some of the things we do at Asbury! Here are some things you should know about the event:
- This is designed for you to learn with your child. Children must have an adult present.
- There are many activities! Some activities will be 'timed', meaning once the classroom door closes on that session, you will need to wait until the next session to attend (sessions are 15 minutes). Other activities are available to visit at your own pace.
- You will get a stamp at each activity that you complete. If you and your child complete at least 3 activities, you can enter to win one of several raffle prizes (including two awesome gift baskets from Cane's!).
- From 6:35-7:00, head to the playground for a free ice cream!
This map will be available at the event as well!

Meet our Title & ESL teachers!
Our Title and ESL (English as a Second Language) teachers have put an enormous amount of effort and extra time into our Learning is SWEET night. They deserve a BIG THANK YOU! Click on the videos below to 'meet' them!

Thank you!
Thank you to those who attended our first PTO meeting of the year! Our next meeting will be November 17th at 5:00pm. We will again have the option of joining via Google Meet. If you are interested in what was discussed, the agenda can be found here. If you are interested in joining our PTO, please reach out to Mrs. Peters through ClassDojo or at staci.peters@gocruisers.org.
Did you know....
Morning announcements are recorded each morning and shared with our entire building. We celebrate birthdays; give shout outs to students who are doing an amazing job; and, go over a variety of topics such as: Teamwork, problem solving and understanding our emotions.

Shout-outs to a few of our awesome students!

Other Asbury Reminders....
Visitors
When visiting (or picking up/dropping off a student), please do not park in the front loop. You may park on the street or the small parking lot. Visitors must ring the front doorbell and show their ID. Once inside the building, all visitors must go directly to the office to sign in. No adults will be permitted to be anywhere else in the building without a visitor's badge. This includes walking students to their rooms. These precautions are for the safety of all of our students and staff. Thank you for your understanding.
Cell Phones
Although students may bring a cell phone to school, it needs to be turned off and in the child's bookbag throughout the school day. Students who need to contact a parent must use the classroom or office phone.
Birthday Treats
Just a reminder that cupcakes/treats and balloons are not permitted. It is, however, OK to send in small trinkets such as pencils or erasers for your child to pass out to their class. Allergies, time away from instruction, and, more recently, Covid guidelines, have led to this decision. For safety reasons, balloons and food are also not permitted on our buses. Thank you for your cooperation!
