INTRODUCTION

This monthly newsletter highlights actions of the Board and its meetings to inform employees and residents of Town business. All meetings of the town continue to be conducted remotely as a result of the March 12, 2020 order making modifications to the state’s Open Meeting Law to allow state, quasi and local governments to continue to carry out essential functions during the COVID-19 outbreak by conducting meetings remotely.

About Us

The Board of Selectmen acts as the Town's Chief Executive Body responsible for the community's general welfare following guidelines set forth in Operational Policies for the Board of Selectmen. Specific powers and responsibilities of the Board of Selectmen are set forth in Chapter 559 of the Acts of 1953 which is better known as the Town Manager Act and the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
