Reflection Corner: Mary, Queen of Peace
Last Sunday, the Church celebrated the feast of Our Lady, Queen of Peace, in honor of Mary, the mother of God and the Queen of Peace. The church gives us the opportunity to thank God for the gift of peace; to reflect and pray for it; to rededicate our commitment to work for peace; and to remember and pray for those places and people who are deprived of peace due to human greed for riches, power and domination. Let us strive to become bearers of peace to everyone we encounter especially to the people closest to us.
Prayer to the Queen of Peace
Mary, Mother of God and Our Mother, Queen of Peace!
You came to us to lead us to God.
Obtain for us the grace
not only to say:
“Be it done to me according to Your will!”,
but to live it, as you did.
Into your hands we put our hands,
so that you may lead us to Him
amidst these afflictions and woes.
Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
