7A against Burnet
The Lady Vikings fought hard last night but came up a little short, losing 20-28. Top scorers on the night were: Kyrksen Cook with 14 points, Ada Weyant with 4 points, and GG Hidalgo added a basket. The entire team used their defensive skills to keep the game so close, and I am proud of their heart, hussle, and determination to finish strong! I am confident the girls will bounce back and use this game as a “lesson learned.”

8A vs Burnet
The Lady Vikings tipped off a 3 week home stand this past Thursday evening taking on the Burnet Lady Bulldogs in a Hill Country District match up. Our girls entered the match up looking for district win #3 while Burnet was still hunting for their first. From the opening tip the Lady Vikings pressed the Lady Bulldogs into submission early and often dominating play from start to finish winning the game 49 - 16. Outstanding play was displayed by the Lady Vikings throughout the night. The ball was moving all around the court on offense and their recognition and communication continues to improve as their defense continues to stifle their opponents.
Scoring stats: 11 pts - Olivia Parra; 8 pts - Molly Roberts; 6 pts - Piper Olsen, Winter Callahan, Eliana Helton; 4 pts - Ayva Ritter; 3 pts - Abby Tristan; 1 pt- Sydney Mosser
The Lady Vikings host Lampasas next Thursday 1/19. Come out and support these young ladies next week in what will be a very big game.
Lago Splits With The Dogs
7th grade A was victorious last night for their second district win of the year. Sam Kinslow opened the game by scoring the first 9 points. From there, the Vikings never looked back. In the first half, Brennan Brown, Keagan Harris, and Evan Rehner were able to create multiple chances in transition against Burnet's full-court press. Karter Kudrna controlled the pace on offense and made a couple buckets from mid-range. Cole Sisemore and Macer Ballard held a BLOCK PARTY on the defensive end of the court all night and were also key pieces on offense. Triple T (Tyler Tristan, Tyler Evans, Tristan Humke) came on in relief and helped seal the 37-20 victory over the Bulldogs!
The LVMS Vikings basketball teams traveled to Burnet Middle School, in Burnet, TX, last night for a district contest against the Bulldogs.
