This Week:

  • Red/Yellow Card Tracker - Please use this tracker, saved on Drive, to update your students' red and yellow cards.
  • Books for Classrooms! Every classroom is receiving 100-150 books. Make sure you reference this email from Maddie to make sure the books are ready for students by winter break.
  • Thank you for making sure Maddie & Allison are shared on all assessment data!
  • Over the next two weeks we'll be conducting goals conferences. Please come prepared with any artifacts that support data analysis (f&p's, words their way spelling inventory, and conferring notes)

    • Reading Partners Winter Reading Celebration - Stop by the Reading Partners room on Wednesday, December 16 from 1:45 - 2:45 for the Winter Reading Celebration.
    • Nutcracker Performs at TCN - Once again, we are lucky to have the Nutcracker come to TCN for a short performance. It will be held in the gym Tuesday, December 15, from 9:00am - 9:45am. For more resources to prepare your students, see this folder on Drive.
    • Family Math Night - Get ready! Math Night is coming...Thursday, February 25 from 5:30-6:30. The goal of this evening is to make it an engaging event where families feel excited about doing math at home and supporting their students. After the new year, we will share more information about the format and schedule of the event. In the meantime, here are some links to a few sites and ideas to get your creative juices flowing: Family Math Night and Fun Math Games
    • Oakland Running Festival - March 20, 2016. Believe it or not, March will be here before we know it. Last year, a group of teachers/staff/families from TCN participated in the 5k at the Oakland Running Festival. We'd love to get a group going again this year, so mark your calendars!


    • December Schedule ZigZags: The next couple months are full of different activities and schedule changes. This document has all the details you need.
    • What are ZigZags? Kyle shared some great resources and a video about ZigZags and how using them can help some of our students when schedules change. This website is also full of resources and videos.
