RYLEE GEORGE
THE BATTLES OF LEXINGTON AND CONCORD
THE BATTLES START
On April 19 1775 in Lexington and concord battle begins. Thomas Gage receives note from Massachusetts that there were weapons at Lexington concord. They marched all the way from Boston to Lexington in secret, or so they thought. Paul Revere had overheard the soldiers and went to warn the minutemen. the minute men hid behind the trees for cover and so that they might not be seen. the orders said don't shoot unless they shoot first. someone shot but no one knows who. the good and bad news was that 100 colonists died and 200 soldiers died. the battle had begun and so had the revolution.
