Bite-sized PD form Innovative Learning: Copy Link to Highlight
You know that feeling when you find the perfect information online that you want to share with your students or colleagues, but it’s 3/4 of the way down the page and you’re dreading trying to help them find it? Well, a new feature in Chrome allows you to link right to the information in the page that you want people to see. On a PC, highlight the section you want people to read within a text, right-click and select “copy link to highlight.” On a Mac, hold the Ctrl button on your keyboard and click your trackpad then select “copy link to highlight.” This generates a URL ending in a # symbol, which you can then share with others. Upon visiting the new URL, readers are taken directly to the highlighted portion.
