Additional resources for learning at home
Students apps:
Moby Max (Math)Lexia Core 5 (Reading)
MyOn (Reading)
Also, reading with your child daily is super important. Take turns reading, asks questions about the text.
Sample questions:
What do you think will happen next?
Why do you think _____happened?
How do you think _____feels?
Why do you think _____feel that way?
What would happen if ________?
How did the character change in the story?
Practice writing by having your child write a response to a question.
Make sure the responses include:
- Restate the question
- Have an answer
- Support their answer
- Have capital letters at the beginning and an end mark at the end.
* If this seems to be too much, start small and work your way up. Start with one sentence and just an answer and build upon it a little every day.
