Dear Friends,


Thank you for taking care of each other this year! Ultimately, we come to work each day because of the people we work with, for, and the students we serve. Throughout this year you have made if possible to safely serve and now you deserve time to rest and rejuvenate.


In this newsletter you will find information about the contract for next year, pay, and insurance. Please let any on our team know how we can be of assistance to you!

Negotiations Update

Our Negotiations Team works year-round to continue to make Kuna School District a place people chose to work. Recently Master Contract proposal was ratified and now it goes to the Board of Trustees.


Highlights from this year include:

  • 10 extra certified interventionist
  • 5 Health Aides
  • Reimbursement for up to 2 credits offered by IEA or KSD at $60 / credit
  • 2% pay increase to each cell on the pay scale
  • Cover 8.5% health insurance coverage
  • Pay for telehealth (Ally Health) for all employees and their families
  • Retention bonus for certified staff returning in 2021-22


The team acknowledges areas that still require attention and will resume meeting in September to work for the good of all.

Contracts

Once the final budget is approved, we will be work to get contracts to you as soon as possible. We intend on having them to you sometime the second or third week of June. We will ask that you digitally sign them prior to a deadline that will be given when we issue the contract.

Thanks for a great year, now is a great time to take a quick look in Skyward to make sure all of your information is up to date. Some things to check include:
  • Address
  • Emergency Contacts
  • Time Off Balances
  • Credits and Degrees
  • W4 Information
If you find something that needs to be corrected/changed or have any general questions, please let me know.

Employee Assistance Program (E.A.P.)

We understand that this time of uncertainty can be stressful and want to remind you that the Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) is free counseling and is available to you and your family free of charge. To make an appointment, please call (208) 367-3300. They are doing virtual appointments at this time.

Summer Work

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Ada County are looking for extra help this summer. If you are interested in learning more please contact Ben Gangwer at 208-318-6482 or email him at "Ben@adaclubs.org".

Summer Hours

The District Office will normally be open Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. this summer. Your HR and Payroll Team can also be reached at "hr@kunaschools.org".
