Message to AP Students & Families
Below you will find information pertaining to AP registration and payment along with a google questionnaire that is required to be completed by the student.
Students- Please complete the google AP Exam form: https://bit.ly/2022APEXAM
Please read this information carefully if your student is enrolled in an AP class at Buckingham Collegiate Charter Academy (also sent via email by the counseling department).
1.) All AP students must register in their AP class on the "My AP" website. Students can get their class "join codes" from their AP teachers as well as instructions for finding the site: https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/pdf/joining-your-ap-class-section-students.pdf
2.) The deadline for AP exam registration with $96 payment each is Friday, November 12, 2022.
** Payment can be dropped off in the main office M-F, 9 am - 3 pm; cash or check (made payable to BCCA.)
3.) Students who qualify for free and reduced lunch are eligible for exam fee waivers, in which case a $5.00 fee for each test will be due on Friday, November 12, 2022.
4.) IMPORTANT: Any student (including those using a fee waiver) who later decide that they would like to take the exam but does not register by the deadline will be charged a $40 late fee which goes back to the College Board.
If you or your student have any questions regarding AP exams, please talk to your AP teacher, Mary Jo Weiss, or your student’s counselor.
Thank you,
Counseling Team

COVID-19 Update
We want to inform you that any family with a student 12+ can now voluntarily submit their COVID-19 vaccine card to the district. We understand you may have questions aout the Governor's recent annoucement and how it will impact your student. We have lots of questions about that as well. Currently, this verification is fully voluntary.
Filling out the verification form below will accomplish the following:
- If your student is identified as a school based close contact AND they have verified their vaccination status, they will NOT require a COVID-19 test in order to remain in attendance at school during their modified quarantine.
- If your student is identified as a school based close contact AND they have verified their vaccination status, they may continue to participate in extracurricular activities (including sports) throughout the duration of their 10 day modified quarantine.
Below is the link to a letter district sent to families on Tuesday, 9/28 with further information. If you previously have submitted your vaccine information, we ask that you please re-submit it using this new process.
COVID 19 Testing Center
Moving COVID-19 testing to a centralized location helps the district ensure more students can remain on campus and in class. Due to the current federal shortage of rapid antigen tests, VUSD is partnering with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and Bay Area Phlebotomy and Laboratory Services (BayPLS) to ensure continued free and expedient access to the testing that allows our students to stay in school.
