Hello FUSD Staff and Community,

Please join me in congratulating Rachel Brown, FUSD’s 2023 Teacher of the Year! Mrs. Brown is a 4th grade teacher at Mission San Jose Elementary.

Our teachers are critical to the success and well-being of our students, our schools and our community. They are a beacon of safety and hope. FUSD is proud of our outstanding educators who balance nurturing each student’s needs and strengths with challenging all learners to approach content with curiosity and a drive for deeper understanding.

Congratulations to all nominees and our outstanding finalists: Melissa Auger from Thornton Junior High, Stephanie Keller from Mattos Elementary, Maria Dimitrova from Brier Elementary, Anjum Mujeeb from Glankler Early Learning, Jason Boyer from Parkmont Elementary, and Ida Wong from Warm Springs Elementary.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the nomination and selection process, including our Teacher of the Year committee members, for their time and dedication to honoring our educators.

2023-24 New Student Enrollment Open Now

Transitional kindergarten (TK), kindergarten, sibling priority and other new student enrollment for the 2023-24 school year is open now at www.fremont.k12.ca.us/enrollment.

FUSD will offer extended day kindergarten starting in the 2023-24 school year. Starting next year, kindergarten start times will match or closely align to the schedule for grades 1-5 at each school, and all elementary schools in FUSD will offer expanded day care to serve students after school hours.

Eligibility for transitional kindergarten is expanding: children who will be 5 years old between September 2, 2023 and April 2, 2024 can enroll in this free program for 2023-24 to get a head start in school and build their social, communication and independence skills.

If your student is currently attending an FUSD school in grades TK-11, there is no need to re-enroll.
