Saginaw County Mosquito Abatement Commission (SCMAC) is asking for your help in recruiting students for seasonal employment for the 2022 season. Attached you will find our recruitment flyer which lists more information about our agency and the positions available. These jobs are ideal for high school graduates as they are available May through September up to 40 hours per week (weather permitting). Positions start at $14.25 per hour. The following positions are filled each season: 45 Vector Technicians, 5 Clerk Typist, 6 Biology Assistants, 2 Source Reduction Technicians, and 1 Education Assistant. The number of available positions in each department varies each year depending on the number of returning employees. Mosquito Control season begins late April and runs through the end of September.

These tests are paid for by SCMAC. All selected employees are required to study and pass the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development administered test (date to be determined). All applicants must receive a score of 70% or greater to become a "registered" pesticide applicator in order to work for SCMAC.
Deadline to submit application is Friday, April 15, 2022. Applications are submitted online at saginawmosquito.com. Applicants must be 18 years old by June 1, 2022 and have a valid Michigan driver's license with no more than five points and with no restrictions.
