News You Can Use!

The Heineman students did a great job with the performance of Bugsy Malone. It was wonderful to see so many students involved in this production. I asked the students if they would participate in a musical when they are attending Heineman and they said yes. I will look forward to seeing them preform when they are in middle school.

With the change in weather please make sure to send the appropriate attire so we don't have cold students.

Our fall party is right around the corner on October 30. We are in need of some donations for the party. Please click on the link in the e-mail or on the link below to sign up to volunteer to send something in.

The class has been busy this week. The fourth grade started Skill Building this week so some of the students are rotating to the other upstairs fourth grade teachers. This is a great opportunity for the kids to be interacting with other students from the grade.

We finished up Letter's Home from Yosemite, but we did not take the test because we have been busy. The students will take the test Monday after we review.

Today, we had our neighbors over, Mrs. Lanham's class. The student's taught them about all the features of KidBlog. The students did a great job working with the other class about all of the ins and outs of this wonderful resource. With all of this going on, I totally forgot about the spelling test so the kids will take it on Monday.

Unit three concentrates on the properties of basic plane figures and the use of the tools of geometry. Students will use compasses, rulers, protractors, and the geometry template during this unit.

How would an animal adapt to a new environment? That is exactly what the students will be figuring out as they adapt the animal they researched. Look for more on this project next week.

Please take a look at our Clarisketch presentations. The students did a great job.
