From Mrs. Price
We had an INCREDIBLE DANCE FIT FRIDAY on November 13th! Thank you to ALL of our community for making such a HUGE impact! I would like to give some special shout-outs to Pony Paige, Awesome Amy, and Buddy the Bear for all of their energizing promotions! Our campus received donations from ALL 50 states, and 13 countries!! One of the reasons we love this program, is that over 61% of our donations came from grandparents, relatives, businesses, or family friends, with the remaining 39% from our parents! Can we get a drum roll....we ALL raised $34,129 toward our $35,000 fall fundraiser! We are definitely BETTER TOGETHER!

We are excited to announce that ONE of our water fountains (outside of the cafeteria and gymnasium) has been retrofitted as a bottle refill station. Please make sure your child has their water bottle with them each day. In the event your child forgot their own water bottle, they will be provided a bottle of water. We appreciate any donations of cases of water while we have our water fountains off for sanitation reasons.

Children In Santa's Dreams Toy Drive
Sometimes students don’t quite make it to the restroom in time, water bottles spill, food from lunch ends up in a lap, a slip in the mud on the playground or broken zipper can happen at any age or grade. It’s a good idea to put a change of clothing and an extra mask in your student’s back pack for just in case.
We call the parent if there is not clothing in the back pack but sometimes we can’t reach parents or the parents are too far away to come to school. The clinic is in need of gently worn clothing. Elastic waistbands or stretch fabric are particularly useful and Buckalew shirts.
The next time clean out your student’s closet if you have any clothing that you could donate the clinic, it would be appreciate. Thank you, Nurse Eudy

November's Character Trait: Gratitude
Gratitude is the positive emotion we feel when we appreciate the things we have. Shelter, food, and many other things can easily be taken for granted, but when we realize their worth, we become happier through the power of gratitude.
According to Harvard, gratitude not only increases happiness. It also improves our health, helps us deal with adversity, and supports our ability to form strong relationships. What are you grateful for today?
During Generation Texas Week, students dream as BIG as the state when it comes to their futures. During this special week, we will answer the question, “What’s next after Buckalew?” and focus on secondary and post secondary education and career choices.

Lost and Found
A friendly reminder to please label all of your child's belongings with first name and last initial or last name. **Water bottles, lunch boxes, hats, and especially outerwear such as hoodies/jackets/sweaters are all great things to label as these items tend to pile up quickly in the Lost and Found. Thanks so much!
Parents just a reminder to send all transportation changes to school with your child in their backpack.
For emergencies only, e-mail Buckalewtransportation@Conroeisd.net
PRIOR TO 2 PM and make sure you get a confirmation that your change was received.
Please note weather is not considered an emergency.
Classroom teachers do not always check emails throughout the day or may even be absent and that request would not be received in time. If you have sent a note with your child it is not necessary to e-mail the note to the front office. Thank you.
