Newsletter Week 7 Term 2
Meeanee School 15th June, 2022
MESSAGE FROM THE SWIVELLY CHAIR
The weather is starting to get quite cold here at school. Some students are turning up with just a shirt on and no fleece or jacket. Please make sure students have their warm school uniform coming to school. Uniform needs to be named so that if it is left lying around school we can return it to its owner. We are trying to teach students to put away their uniform tops when they take them off.
I know of two Napier Schools already in the last two weeks that have had to ask students to work from home as they cannot staff their school. We have been very close to that same situation. Thanks to our dedicated staff, we have continued to keep students on site at this stage. Please be patient with us if you don't get the normal quick response from us as we are having to double up on jobs at the moment.
The PTA Whittakers Chocolate Fundraiser is going extremely well. If you have unsold chocolates please return them to school tomorrow as we have families who are able to sell more.
Be Kind, Stay Safe,
ASSEMBLY WINNERS - no assembly last week
Thanks to those who could make it. For a school the size of ours and the budget of ours we cannot afford to pay for a full-time property supervisor so it means a lot to have the help of our community.
Our current property supervisor, Fletcher, goes above and beyond his job description as it is. Thanks Fletcher for all of your hard work at our school.
Parent Interviews 2022
When you come for your interview the teacher will take you through your child's school report.
Closer to the time we will send out an interview time slip.
