We ready..that's right...READY for SBAC SUCCESS - Week 2 continues...
Dr. Hosn's says #JROBNATION got this...SBAC READY AND FIRED UP FOR SUCCESS!!
Teachers, thank you for a great first week of SBAC! You have created great testing environments for your students. Our JROB Dolphins were on task and took the test seriously. I loved seeing all of the words of encouragement provided to students on the "green stairs" and from parents, teachers, and peers. During this second week, please continue to reach out to Dr. Hosn or Admin for support with any challenges.
Have a successful SBAC week!!

3. Robinson will receive an exterior painting of our campus this SUMMER 2019. No access for students or staff from June 17 - August 17.
4. Robinson will receive upgrades to our school's HVAC system along with additional upgrades for 2020-21. These upgrades will cause our "entire campus: staff and students" to be moved to a different location. More details will be forthcoming throughout the 2019-20 school year for staff, parents and community regarding the move for Robinson.
5. Due to increasing instructional support needs on our campus, we have run out of space to house the programs and interventions needed. Therefore, we are going to have to move the current location of the Parent Center housed in room 32 for the 2019-20 school year. The Parent Center will now become a "shared room space" with the WRAP program. More details will be forthcoming about the "shared space use" in the application for both Parent Center and WRAP/After School program for the 2019-20 school year.

Team Robinson on a Community Scavenger hunt developing U5 & U6
1. How did the super, crazy, fun Scavenger Hunt support you in being a part of our JROB team?
Taught us to work together
Helped us learn how to support each other & problem solve together
We enjoyed being on a team with different GLs & Depts.
We all had to agree on our priorities and goals, the sequence to be effective and efficient
We felt WHOLE! Like assembled Legos. Stranger Danger is real! Caring relationships means getting to know students.
It showed us how to work together as a team for a common goal. It meant collaboration, assignment of roles & learning how to work best together.
Worked together, LOL smiled & had a good time!
It pushed us out of our comfort zone, caused us to work well as a team. Allowed us time to get to know other GLs & Depts.
Common goals
Collaborated together
Desperate teamwork
Met the community, almost got arrested TWICE (a woman thought we were trying to steal her clothes, police called for back-up & a homeless person told us to leave him alone).
#2 - As we seek to be effective instructional teams that have collective efficacy towards student achievement AND in being warm demanders, what is at least ONE next step for your JROB grade level or MS department?
Importance of listening to all GLs & Depts. & really hear all the voices
Look for opportunities to capitalize on everyone’s strengths
Important to have cross GL discussions & “vertical planning”
Strategize together to determine MOST essential instructional skills
Prioritizing team time to determine the same goals are followed by establishing Action Plans with group tasks & individual tasks
Fewer meetings & more community field trips
Increase communication through purposeful collaboration
To collaborate & share ideas about reaching students & maximize student learning
One next step is to learn how to better collaborate with fellow teachers who have different teaching styles & beliefs.
Teams work together & with classes
Plan fun
Support team building in lessons
Include more teamwork/trust through NON-academic time
Plan activities across classes & GLs for beginning, middle & end of the year
Very high expectations (to get a red convertible)
Dancing & singing
Make it fun
