Thank You for Your Generosity!

We Want YOUR Feedback!
We love our Big Creek students and families, and we value your feedback!
Please take a few minutes to complete the 24-question Georgia Parent Survey linked here:
https://gshs.gadoe.org/parents. (If the link does not work, please just type in your browser to access the survey.)
Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis.
The data collected from the survey will be used as part of the calculation of the School Climate Star Rating which is an indicator in our academic accountability system, the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI).

Afternoon Learning Bridge Dismissal
A Message from Deputy Gober - PLEASE READ
- If you are travelling north on Peachtree Pkwy, please do not turn left into the parking lot unless you can safely pull your entire car into the driveway. It is unsafe to block the roadway and additionally, any car has the potential to be struck on the passenger side of the vehicle.
- If you are travelling south on Peachtree Pkwy, please do not turn right into the parking lot unless there are no cars turning into the lot from your left. Cars turning right must obey the posted yield sign and allow cars turning left to enter into the lot in front of them
- Additionally, PLEASE remember common courtesy at the turn where two lanes of cars merge into one. We have posted a sign reminding drivers to merge. This means that every car in the right hand lane should allow one car from the left hand lane to move over in front of them. If you are in the right hand lane, please allow this to happen. If you are in the left hand lane, please wait your turn to be allowed to merge. Do not try to merge two or more cars at one time.
Thank you for doing your part to help our students arrive to school safely.

Notes from Nurse G
Dear Families,
As we all know, it takes a village and partnership to raise and educate our little kiddos. In addition it takes team work to keep them as healthy as possible. If your child has vomited, had diarrhea, or a temperature of 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, they must be symptom free, without any medication use, for at least 24 hours before they may return to school. Please help us keep all of our kids at Big Creek healthy by following these guidelines set by the CDC & CHOA.
Also, please let both their teacher and me know if your child has a contagious disease, ie: Flu, Strep, Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye), Mono, Lice, Meningitis, Chicken Pox, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Coxsackie Virus (Hand, Foot, & Mouth, Fifths Disease, MRSA, Impetigo, etc. This information is kept confidential, but is necessary to help us control any potential outbreaks (I am required to report these diagnoses to our county lead). If we have multiple cases (often 2 or more) in a class, within a short period of time, a letter will be sent home to keep you aware of the situation, but no names or personal information will be released.
As always please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I may be reached at gsampson@forsyth.k12.ga.us or 770-887-4584 x710402.
Thank you for helping to keep all of our Wildcats as healthy as possible!

This Month on our Voyage Journey
Would your family like to help the less fortunate this holiday season?
The holiday season is upon us and we are joining with The Place of Forsyth County to support their 5th Annual Holiday House! This shopping experience allows families in need to purchase gifts when they otherwise might not be able to afford it.
We want to spread kindness throughout our community so we will collect gift cards to donate to the Holiday House! There will be a box in the front office area where you can drop off your gift cards starting on December 2nd- 13th.
If your family would like to participate in more ways, please check out their website: https://www.theplaceofforsyth.org/holidayhouse.html

Do you know someone who can help us with our need for drivers? New training sessions are held every month! Please click on the graphic at the right for more information on a part-time job (starting at $16.45) with full-time benefits, flexible schedules and school holidays off.
