Tim Metevier took the boys on an inspection tour of a new development in Somersworth today. He has able to show them first-hand how what they are learning translates to the real world. The boys were very interested and asked insightful questions, I believe they came away with some really good “real-world” experiences. They also got to see Tim “fail” one of the houses on the foundation inspection and learned what that sort of failure will cost the contractor when he has to come back for the third time to remedy a problem. On the way home they were doing the math as to how much money a developer would have invested into a 175 house project, they were floored.
