Message From the Principal
Dear Parents,
This morning at our monthly staff meeting, we took time to celebrate the work we do for student achievement. When ordinary people do extraordinary things, it is beautiful. Our teachers and staff work very hard to create an environment of learning, love, and positivity. Everything we do in this building is all for the goal of student growth.
This week, 8th-grade students successfully completed ITBS testing. Our bus drivers are the very people who bring our kids to and from school, safely and on time. Hence, it was very timely that we celebrated Bus Driver Appreciation this week. Our Student Council arranged for a PINK OUT to highlight the importance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our PTSA was especially active this week with their PTSA Student Roundtable, providing breakfast for the bus drivers, gifting a miniature pumpkin to every mail slot, and even surprising me with the perfect pink earrings for PINK OUT.
Next week, the PTSA will be hosting Red Ribbon Week. To help deliver an impactful message, the PTSA is sponsoring Mr. Jerome Huff to give a "Real Talk" to Parents at 7:45 am on Tuesday, October 30th in the Media Center. Mr. Huff will be speaking to our students throughout the day about how to have their best year by staying drug-free and making good choices. On Thursday, Nov. 1st, Resource Officer Jones will be hosting a Digital Safety workshop for parents at 6 pm in the Media Center.
Join us next week in our Red Ribbon activities as we focus on growing the whole child.
