Family Newsletter March 12, 2021

Dear StepUP Families,

We have had a wonderful week with our students! We hope you enjoy some pictures of our activities below.

I want to make sure that everyone understands that next week's schedule might be a little confusing. There is no school on Friday for all students in the district, and this causes some ripple effects for many of our programs. Please make sure if you have any questions, that you reach out and we can clarify. Please see below for the details:

  • Transition - this program will remain the same, your student will attend Monday, Tuesday and Thursday next week. We will still have virtual sessions on Wednesday like we have been, and there is no school on Friday.
  • If your student is in Elementary School: SEL K-3 and 4-7 programs: your student will attend like normal Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday will NOT be early release and students will attend the same schedule as they have for Monday and Tuesday.
  • If your student is in Middle School: SEL 4-7 and 7UP programs: your student will attend on Wednesday if they normally attend on Friday. Therefore if your student normally attends on Monday and Thursday, this will be a normal week for them. If your student normally attends on Tuesday and Friday, he/she will attend Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • If your student is in High School: SEL 7UP and NextSTEPS programs: your student will attend their regular schedule Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Normally, your student does not attend on Wednesday, but since there is no school Friday, they will attend Wednesday instead.

I know this is a lot of information and can be very confusing. If you are in doubt at all, please reach out to your classroom teacher and he/she will be able to tell you your student's specific schedule for the week. Please also remember that the week after next is Spring Break and there is no school for all students.

As always, thank you so much for your partnership and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
