Biography
Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5,1901 in Chicago,Illinois to Flora Call Disney and Elias Disney. Walter was the 4th of 5 children. Walter had 3 brothers and 1 sister their names were Roy O Disney, Herbert Arthur Disney, Raymond Arnold Disney, and Ruth Flora Disney. when Walt was younger he had one dog named Ginger and 10 fish named Disney, Jelly, Bubbles, Kanga, Molly, Ron, Hippy, Amy, Amy, Lucy, and Sprite. Walter lived on a farm and his dad got sick with lung cancer so they moved back. When he was 9 he started a paper route and was the paper boy for his town and at age 10 he opened a stand selling soda with a neighbor hood boy.
Struggles/accomplishments-
Walt was very poor and wasn't able to get the things he wanted when he wanted them he had to work very hard for what he had. Walter wasn't successful at many things he would have to do things over and over and over again until he got it right. Later when Walt figured out he could do things his career to flight. He had the first animated film with synchronized sound and the first animated film in full color. He got 2 stars on the Hollywood walk of fame. He received the Congressional Medal of Honor and the Presidential Medal of Freedom and had more medals than anyone else. For many years he won best cartoon.
Adult/Death-
Walt started going to and art school with his sister because he realized that was one of the few things he was good at. July 13,1925 Walt married Lillian Disney. 8 years later they were happy to be expanding their family with 1 baby girl named Diane Disney Miller and 3 years later they had another baby girl named Sharon Mae Disney. In 1971 Walt started his business that we know today as Disney world. Sadly on December 15 of 1966 Walt got lung cancer and died. He was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles California.
