FISD Early Childhood School
Where the Adventure Begins...
Monday is almost here!!
Dear Parents,
Often times parents would like to walk their child to class on the first day of school. That is such a special experience we want you to be able to do that if you would like! This does mean that receiving students and parking may take longer than a typical school day. We appreciate your patience as everyone gets used to our routines! As soon as you get your child settled in class, please give a quick goodbye kiss and let us start working our magic!
After the first day, we will receive your child either directly from the bus or your car. For arrival and dismissal we always have one adult for every 1-2 children so they are always in someone's hand. Our biggest priority is to make sure they are coming and going safely. We want you to feel completely comfortable when your child is in our care. Be sure to take a close look at the arrival/dismissal procedure map that your teacher emailed you. There is also a copy of this in the first day packets.
Your child will come home the first day with a packet full of great information unless your teacher gave it to you during Meet the Teacher Night!! Be sure you look through all of it and return any necessary paperwork to your child's teacher. We always include a master calendar for all ECS events for this school year. We would love it if you would hang this somewhere in your kitchen, perhaps, to make sure you don't miss out on any of the fun! If you have any questions, feel free to email your child's teacher at any time.
Is there another parent or caregiver that would like to receive my weekly emails? Just email us at earlychildhood@friscoisd.org and give us that person's name and email address. We are happy to add them to my distribution list!
Our teachers have been working so hard the past few weeks to prepare to receive your child and we could not be more excited for Monday!! Enjoy your weekend and we will see you soon!

I want to hear from YOU!
Hey ECS Parents! I've created a new forum called The ECS Parent Place! As your child's principal, I want to make sure I keep open lines of communication with all of you! I'm hoping this will turn into a great forum where you can post questions, feedback, and praise so that I can stay better connected with you and your perspectives. I look forward to hearing from you! Just click this link and then look for the hot pink circle with the plus sign. Click on that and you're on your way! I'll keep an eye out so I can respond to your posts.
