A Note From Dr. Phillips

What a fantastic week! We are so excited to be headed into second Trimester. Our teachers are excited to meet with families for conferences either on zoom or in-person. We are looking forward to speaking with all of you about the progress students are making. We are also looking forward to sharing our standards based progress reports with you.

A huge Thank You to all of the Veterans and guests that attended Long's Veterans Day Parade and breakfast. We had a great turn out and we were honored to thank all of our veterans.

Adopt-A-Family

This sign-up is for the Long Elementary 2022 Adopt-A-Family. This year we are asking for gift cards to give our families a holiday meal, a family experience together, and gifts for all family members. With these cards they can shop for that perfect gift for each other and also enjoy some fun family time over break. Please have gift cards turned in to school no later than Dec. 1st. We are so appreciative of the generosity of the Long family.

American Education Week 2022 - Thank You, Lindbergh Employees

This week, during National American Education Week, please take a moment to thank the educators, administrators and support staff employees who serve our students each day. ‘What School Could Be’: Board of Education Readalong

Lindbergh Schools Board of Education members invite the community to join them in reading “What School Could Be,” by Ted Dintersmith. The board will read this book during the 2022-23 school year and discuss it during quarterly Board Workshops.

“What School Could Be” is an inspiring account of teachers in ordinary circumstances doing extraordinary things, engaging and inspiring students, and helping them develop purpose, agency, essential skill sets and mindsets, and deep knowledge. The insights of these teachers offer a vision of what school could be, and a model for how to help schools achieve it.

Lindbergh Lights Up the Holidays

There are many ways to help the families in our Lindbergh community this holiday season:

Sponsor a family through the Giving Tree Program
Make a monetary donation to the Giving Tree Program
Make a monetary donation to the Utility Program
Visit Liliana's Italian Kitchen at 11836 Tesson Ferry Rd. on Dec. 19. All proceeds will go to Lindbergh Lights up the Holidays.
Visit the Dougherty family holiday lights display at 788 Spring Crest Court, Fenton, Mo. Use the drop box in the front yard -- all donations will be matched!
