News from Mrs. Day & Mrs. Stasney
For the week of January 6th
Welcome Back!
Welcome back to school! We cannot believe that this school year is half way over already! The students have learned a lot already and have grown so much since August. There is still lots more to learn before we send them off to 4th grade, and we're looking forward to a great spring semester!
Library This Week
Both classes will go to the library on Tuesday to return and check out books. Please help your child remember to bring his/her library books to school tomorrow!
New Format for Reading HW
Your child's reading HW will be different than last semester. The students will be bringing home a passage with questions about that passage. Please look for the parent letter in your child's Gator Binder explaining the expectations for this!
Math HW Change
Math HW will be due on Wednesday this week instead of Friday. The HW is a review of multiplication problems for our test on Thursday. On Wednesday, we will go over all of the problems together in class. The problems on the HW are very similar to the types of problems that will be on the test.

Glue Sticks...
We have just about depleted the supply of glue sticks from August. The students glue things into their Writer's Notebooks and math journals almost daily. We are not asking for a class donation of glue sticks. Instead, if your child is low on glue sticks, we're asking that buy only for your child to keep in his/her own pencil box.
