Covid Disruptions

Thank you for bearing with us whilst we experience disruptions due to Covid. We continue to do all we can to ensure that the school remains open and children are safe, happy and learning well. We hope that things will return to normal for all our children soon.

Welcome Mrs Birchby

We are delighted to welcome a new member to our staff team this week. Mrs Birchby has started her teaching assistant role in Year 4.

Pupil Absence Requests

This form should be completed by the parent/carer and returned to the school as far in advance as possible and preferably preferably with sufficient notice before the first intended day of absence.

The DfE regulations for attendance state that leave of absence during term-time should not be granted by schools unless there are ‘exceptional circumstances.’ Parents/carers must obtain the school’s permission before making any arrangements for leave in exceptional circumstances, otherwise the absence will be recorded as unauthorised and may result in a penalty notice being served.

Parent Volunteers

We hope to be able to welcome volunteers into school very soon. However, any previous DBS check will have now expired and will need to be renewed. If you would like to volunteer to help in school on a regular basis in future, please contact the office so that we can begin the process in applying for a new DBS. You will need to bring in some ID, a current passport, driving licence and utility bill issued within the last 3 months. We will also need 2 character references so please also provide the names and email addresses of 2 people who could provide this for you. Thank you for your continued support.

Shout out to a member of staff

This is to recognise staff who have done something great. We want to recognise the achievement of all our staff so please help up to pass on your nice comments and thanks.
