Character Warms the Heart Week - February 10-13

February 10-13 is our Pirates ROCK "Character Warms the Heart" week, when we warm up with our good character with fun spirit week activities and collect items for our Treasure Chest resource center to help PCR-3 families in need. We're teaming up with PCHS and Great Beginnings to collect Body Wash & Deodorant at Siegrist. We also encourage you to also celebrate our good character and Pirate Pride by attending the PCHS Pirates home basketball game on February 11 - Pirate fans will receive some Pirates ROCK giveaways!

Spring Parent/Teacher CONFERENCES Coming Up on February 26

Spring Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, February 26 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Spring conferences are student-led conferences.

What Can You Expect at Parent/Teacher Conferences?

One of the district's Principles of Learning is that every learner should set goals and be able to track their own learning. Setting learning goals also aligns with our Siegrist Mission of "We will have fun, work hard, and do our best to reach our goals and change the world into a better place." By understanding their strengths as learners and setting goals for areas they would like to improve, students are able to take ownership in their learning. Being able to explain their goals and growth to their families also helps to build leadership skills for their education and future.

Student-led conferences are an opportunity for students to showcase and explain their learning goals and share their progress with their families. Student-led conferences can be set up in a variety of ways, including: a small group of students and families in the room at a time walking through steps to show their learning progress this year, individual teacher/student/parent discussions, or a mixture of both formats. Your child's teacher has worked to set up a meaningful evening for students and their families. If you have any questions regarding the format of student-led conferences, please contact your child's teacher.

February is the month of Charity

Family opportunity to volunteer and give back to our community through Harvester's. Harvester's feeds many of our Platte County students every weekend, and this opportunity is a great way to work with your family, friends, and our school community to give back. Make this a fun event with your family, or friends, and consider joining us on 4/4 (Saturday) from 10:00-12:00 to help work at Harvester's. Only kids 8 and older can volunteer. Must be accompanied by an adult, and need transportation there and back. Click on link below to sign up!
