From The Principal
Kia ora koutou,
There's been plenty of sporting action for the children recently, with training underway for Cross Country at all year levels and our football teams working hard to be match-ready for the upcoming Zone competition.
Our approach to sports is to offer the best possible balance of fun, participation and challenge for every child. For this reason, we encourage all the children to select from a number of course options for the Cross-country event in order to set personal goals that match their level of confidence and skill.
When it comes to competitive sports and events, it's great to see the return of teams for older children to try out for and the placed challenge course in Cross Country at later year levels, which we hope to add to as the year progresses.
While sports is an area in which children can have varying degrees of skill, interest and talent, we believe it's important for every child to 'have a go' and - most importantly - enjoy participating in as many opportunities as possible, while still enabling challenge and rigorous competition.
As with any area of their learning, we encourage our learners to focus on making progress and giving it 100%, which I'm sure we will see from our participants soon!

Help!
We need help filling an outstanding role on the Fair committee - Fun coordinator. Marina Borodatova is still helping coordinate and set up vendors/activities that have been run in previous year. Marina has recently relocated to Wellington and is very generously still helping us, so we need a new coordinator to shadow her efforts.
Please email us at menpspta@gmail.com if you have some time you can offer to contribute to our fair activity.
