Welcome to the 2014-2015 School Year
Welcome
Welcome to Christ the King School and welcome to Kindergarten! We are very excited that you and your family are going to be a part of our school community.
We see our kindergarten program as a community, a community of students, teachers, and parents working together to create the best educational environment possible. Our goal this school year is to achieve excellence and success for the entire class through the development of each child.
We are constantly learning new things and looking for new ways in which to help students discover new things. Teaching is a great joy! As teachers we are often the ones who are rewarded by the unique individuals we have in our classrooms. Students come to us at different levels of capabilities and with different learning styles. It is our job to meet them where they are and to raise them up to their highest potential during this kindergarten year. Our goal is to challenge everyone while still making learning fun and exciting.
We want you and your child to have a fulfilling and enjoyable experience at Christ the King School and partnering together can make that happen!
Meet the Teachers
The KA classroom will be led and instructed by Mrs. Tracy Cupolo and Ms. Laura Battaglia. This will be Mrs. Cupolo's 19th year in Kindergarten and Ms. Battaglia's 2nd year. The KB classroom will be led and instructed by Mrs. Sharon Preston and Mrs. Shaheen Ginnan. Mrs. Preston is a veteran teacher of CKS previously having taught 3rd grade prior to Kindergarten. Mrs. Ginnan has been in the preK 4 classroom at CKS.
If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us by email: tcupolo@ctkschool.cdlex.org or spreston@ctkschool.cdlex.org.
We are excited about the upcoming school year!
FAITH Guidelines
Christ the King School strives to promote a sense of community among its teachers, students, and parents. In order to promote a sense of community, CKS has developed a set of FAITH guidelines to govern our community.
Find Christ in others
Accept responsibility
Inspire integrity and honesty
Treat others with dignity and respect
Honor God, yourself and others
We hope the students at CKS begin to live their lives by these guidelines and continue to live by them when they leave CKS.
