Please Verify Your Student's Information
Beginning May 1, LOSD needs parents/guardians of all students enrolled for the 2020-21 school year to log into ParentVUE and review/update your students' information through the Register/Verify tab. This benefits both families and schools by:
Ensuring that schools have accurate information to reach parents and other contacts in both emergency and non-emergency situations. Verification is important even if your contact information has not changed over the past year because the school may have incorrect information from a previous year.
Allowing parents to review the health conditions on file at your student's school.
Enabling distribution of electronic devices covered by the district's Technology Agreement
If you have forgotten your ParentVUE password, go to the login page, click "I am a Parent," then click "Forgot Password." For assistance with the verification process, refer to the user guide on the LOSD website If you are unsure whether you have a ParentVUE account, or if you need assistance with the verification process, contact Jodi Steward at stewardj@loswego.k12.or.us Please note that verification is not part of the ParentVUE mobile app. However, a button in the app allows you to open verification in a web browser, or you can log into ParentVUE on a computer.
Spring Report Cards for Grades K-5
All LOSD report cards for students in grades K-5 will be available to parents/guardians electronically via ParentVUE by June 12. You will not receive your student’s report card in the mail this year. Please click here for instructions on how to log into ParentVUE. Contact Jodi Steward at stewardj@loswego.k12.or.us if you need an activation key. The second semester elementary report card message will state: "School closure was ordered by Governor Brown in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Academic progress is marked with an “S” as teachers do not have adequate summative assessment data for students." Elementary report cards will not have attendance data or individualized comments. Thank you for your engagement and participation in distance learning.
State Assessment
Counselor's Corner
Dear Students and Families,
In an effort to provide support to students and families, your school counselor has created a Request to Check-In Google form:
If you have a need for counseling support, please click on the link, fill in the information (make sure to click submit ;) and then I will communicate with your parents/guardians to set up a virtual check-in with me.
Please see below for the district guidelines about virtual student contact:
The goal of any 1:1 contact between counselor and student is to provide direct social-emotional support.
All contact must be through Google Meets for video and Google Hangouts for audio.
All contacts between school staff and students must be scheduled through parents.
Contacts with 10 or fewer students cannot be recorded.
Students have the option to participate without mic and/or camera.
Sincerely,
Gary Kieser, MS, LPC
Westridge Elementary School Counselor
