This week we begin introducing the Leader in Me 7 Habits of highly effective people. We will begin with Habit 1: Be Proactive . This habit teaches us to stop and think before we make a choice. Being proactive helps us be responsible for ourselves. Part of being proactive means taking initiative. Initiative is when you see a problem and act without being told even when it is difficult. Talk to your children about the different ways to "Be Proactive" and ask them the following questions:
- Describe a time when you took initiative.
- How can we show initiative this week in school?
- How can we show initiative this week outside school?
