Brady Swenson Lucky 13 Raffle. DO IT FOR BRADY!
Brady Swenson is a former student of Sacred Heart Catholic School. In February, 2019, Brady was on his way to school. He was excited because it was the last day of Catholic Schools Week and we had a fun day planned. At 7:00 am, Brady and his father were rear-ended by a drunk driver and he is now paralyzed. The Swenson family have been a big part of our annual gala by hosting the annual Lucky 13 Brady Swenson golf tournament and donating the profits from this tournament back to SHCS. Consider joining us at the Lucky 13 golf tourney on October 7th. Please consider purchasing a raffle ticket and you may be the WINNER!

COVID Updates
We will no longer ask for COVID-19 symptom reporting or for negative COVID-19 tests in order for symptomatic students to return to school. Students may attend school when they are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications, symptoms are improving, and they are able to fully participate in learning.
Students and staff need to report positive COVID-19 cases and need to complete a five-day isolation period should they test positive.
Families are encouraged to follow CDC guidance related to quarantine periods should your child be exposed to COVID-19. We will continue to have free COVID-19 tests available in the school office.

The Capacity to Enjoy
“Young children have a natural ability to enjoy their relationship with God in a very deep way. Children are capable of enjoying the presence of God; they are able to give themselves totally to God’s love. It is only before the age of six that children are completely inside this joy.” Sofia Cavalletti, The Good Shepherd and the Child: A Joyful Journey, revised and updated. Our Preschool students will begin attending atrium sessions during the school day on September 20th. If you have any children ages 3-5 that you would like to register for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, please contact Morgan Leisgang at 763-285-6246 or mleisgang@shrmn.org.

Art Adventure, PreK-8
Calling for Art Adventure Volunteers!
Please consider being a “Picture Person” in a classroom(PreK-8th grade)! We present Art Adventure, a program created by the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, to students in November and December. This is a great way to earn volunteer hours. This year’s theme will be American Stories. Classroom Picture People are not art historians or artists themselves, instead, you will lead students in conversations about art, listen as they describe what they see, talk about what the artist is hoping to express, how the art makes them feel. Any parent would be a great Picture Person!
The MIA provides amazing virtual and in-person training, a printed book for you to keep, and art reproductions for presenting. Training opportunities begin late September through October and November!
Please use SignUp to claim your spot. Contact Joanna Rosendahl with any questions 612-876-1929 (call or text), email: joannarosendahl@gmail.com Joanna is a volunteer and parent of a fifth grader and is coordinating Art Adventure this year.
