The Meadow
By: Kate Knapp Johnson
Half the day lost, staring (A)
at this window. I wanted to know (B)
just one true thing (C)
about the soul, but I left thinking (D)
for thought, and now - (E)
two inches of snow have fallen (F)
over the meadow. Where did I go, (G)
how long was I out looking (H)
for you?, who would never leave me, (I)
my withness, my here. (J)
