January Library Usage
This month there were 17 school days - in that time 108 classes visited the library. 25 of those visits were for direct instruction, 52 classes came for checkout and 31 classes came to use the Mac lab. Instructional topics included:- Points of View database instruction with Mrs. Fabian and Mrs Ziegler.
- Skimming, scanning, and citing newspaper articles with Mrs. Preshinger.
- Why and how we create MLA citations with Mrs Richards. Mrs. Noble, and Mrs. Hagengruber.
- Using Comic Life to create posters that compare and contrast with Mrs. Garman and Mrs Patterson.
- Author study projects with Mrs. Richards and Mrs. Sheridan.
January Library Stats
- Sixth Graders checked out 314 books.
- Seventh graders checked out 336 books.
- Eighth graders checked out 343 books.
- Total of 993 books were checked out.
Library Happenings
The annual CRA Spelling Bee was hosted and held in the library on January 25.

The annual CRA GeoBee was held in the library on January 8.
Rainbow Trout in the Library
Come visit our tank of trout! In January, Trout Unlimited provided us with a tank of trout eggs. They have already hatched and are almost ready to start swimming!
