In order to ensure student safety we would like to review the procedure for change in dismissal.
Please ensure anyone who picks up your child is listed as an authorized contact for pick up. This can be viewed and edited via Parent Portal (https://parentportal.pisd.edu/Login.aspx).
Please maintain a consistent dismissal plan with as few changes as possible. When a change is required, it must be submitted in writing before 1:00pm.
If a change is required:
- Please send an email to your child’s teacher by 1:00pm and copy Mrs. Bradford in the front office (firstname.lastname@example.org);
- Any changes after 1:00 pm should only be due to an emergency situation (flat tire, broken garage door, car wouldn’t start, etc). In that case, please send the email to your child’s teacher, copy Mrs. Bradford, AND call the front office at (469) 752-3302 to ensure the message is received in time.
A student telling their teacher that they were told to go home a different way, or the student showing the teacher a text or email from their parent with a change, is not sufficient and will result in a delay in dismissal while staff attempts to contact parents to verify how the student should go home.
We are one week away from the event and we are still looking for trunkers and volunteers. In order for this event to be successful, we need you!
Sign up below to decorate your trunk or to volunteer in another way. If you have any questions, please contact Landy Dykes at email@example.com.
