Proclamation of 1763

What it was:

It was issued on October 7, 1763, by King George III . It was issued at the end of the French an Indian war. It forbade the settlers from living past a certain line on the Appalachian Mountains. It regulated the relations with the Native Americans. It also regulated trade,settlement and land purchases.

The colonist were upset. They did not understand why the land they had fought for was being taken away from them. They had put in a lot of hard-work therefore that land should be theirs.
