A message from Fr. Joe
Dear Parents,
Is God calling you? Yes! God is calling you to live a good life as Catholics. What is the vocation for all Catholics? Performing works of charity, going to mass on Sunday, treating people with respect, teaching children moral values--these are some of the many ways to respond to God’s call as Catholics. This week the Church celebrates National Vocation Awareness Week. It is a time for Catholics to cultivate vocations among our youth and to pray for those discerning the call to marriage, ordained ministry, or consecrated life. Commonly, the thought of a religious vocation comes early in life. In my case, it came after I made my first communion and got involved with my parish as an altar server. It is then that I started thinking about the religious vocation. Of course, I was a child, but something attracted me about that state in life. I wanted to be like my parish priest, who was friendly, though difficult at times. Well… here I am! I joyfully celebrated my fortieth year as a priest this past June, at Holy Rosary Church in Cleveland. I give thanks to God every day for the gift of the priesthood. I ask parents, could God be calling your son or daughter to a religious vocation? Yes, if you set an excellent example as Catholics and you strive to implant the seed of vocations. You are in my prayers, as I pray every day for our school children and the staff of St. Jude.
May our Blessed Mother Mary be your inspiration.

Weekly Update from Mrs. Hibler
Dear Parents,
Halloween was so much fun here at St. Jude School! Many thanks to the parents who came in to help with the classroom parties. I enjoyed leading the parade throughout the building, and it was so lovely to see so many grandparents and siblings in the halls, supporting this fun activity. Friday was also extraordinary as we celebrated All Saints Day. Mrs. Frye played "When the Saints Come Marching In," and Father ushered our intermediate students dressed as the saints they researched during October. We also honored Fr. Kosem with a special ceremony presenting him with a variety of good luck wishes. Mrs. Griffiths and Mrs. Kirkpatrick were instrumental in all the planning. I appreciate your hard work and dedication going above and beyond for Fr. Kosem. Finally, several students and a few former students participated either presenting, singing, and giving speeches making this extra special!
Enjoy the weekend!
Godspeed,
Mrs. Hibler
