BRADBURY LIBRARY NOVEMBER SHARE

NEWS SHARED WITH BRADBURY STAFF FROM THE LIBRARY

Overdues are BEWILDERING...

Help us! There are hundreds of overdue books we'd love to have returned as we loan to your grade levels hundreds of new books for new units. We'd appreciate your help going through books in your room and returning what you're done with. Plus, if you borrowed a classroom library selection, feel free to return and borrow a refreshed selection for students to enjoy! Additionally, we'd love you reminding students to return their books (or renew).

*Someone asked me the other day how I feel about classrooms borrowing 30-50 books for their students to enjoy... YES, ABSOLUTELY, PLEASE!

ROOM TO READ!

YES there is a Room to Read Read-A-Thon occurring in December!

December 3rd-December 19th Bradbury will be fundraising with the hopes of making enough for opening 2-3 new libraries.

Drowning in new books, still!

We wouldn't mind parent helpers being sent to the library if they're done in your room! 20 minutes or more really does help us get more new books covered. It is unbelievable how many we have left to cover.

BORROWING STATS:

We are excited about book circulation:

We've been loaning out books left and right AND receiving them back as well! There's loads of shelving that accompanies this process. We're grateful for parent volunteers and student librarians who keep us afloat! From half-term until now students, staff and community members have borrowed: 3800 books!

Thanks for reading!

We look forward to accommodating your needs. Thank you for supporting our huge projects, sharing your teaching/co-teaching/book pull/team requests, adjusting to Debbie's style and welcoming her, and enjoying the library!
