Winter Break Ahead! News and Updates for the Week of December 17-21
Everyone at Parker Whitney wishes our school community a safe, happy and blessed season. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa and an all around Happy Winter Break to All!
Minimum Day - Thursday, December 20
Please note: Thursday, Dec. 20 is a minimum day. All students will be dismissed at 12:55 PM. TK - K students will be released at 12:45 PM. NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, Dec. 21!
Lost and Found: Please be sure to have your student bring home all their personal belongings and check the Lost and Found for coats and sweaters. All remaining items for the Lost and Found will be donated on Dec. 27.

A Fond Farewell...
Mr. Mike will be leaving us January 4 to complete his education at Sac State. We wish Mike all the best and thank him from the bottom of our hearts for the wonderful impact he has had with our students and maintaining our facilities. Best of luck, Mr. Mike!
Ms. King will be making a big move to Arizona to pursue her passion for nursing! We thank Ms. Teresa for her dedication to the learning and safety of our students.
Upcoming in the New Year - Mark your calendars
As we head into 2019, here are a few items to place on the radar:
Martin Luther King Day - NO School - Monday, January 21
Presidents' Week - NO School - February 18 - 22. Classes resume Feb. 25
Parent Teacher Conference Week - March 11 - 15 - All days are MINIMUM days this week
Spring Break - NO School - Monday, April 15 - Monday, April 22. Classes resume Tuesday, April 23.
CAASPP Testing Window for grades 3-6: April 8, 2019 - May, 10, 2019
Dance Show - Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Changes for this year - Grades TK - 3 ONLY this year. Our 4th grade students will perform their traditional Gold Dust or Bust play and Square Dancing, and we are working on something a little different and unique for our 5th and 6th graders. Students in grades 4-6 will still have their annual Talent Show they can perform in as well. More to come!
ShutterFly Ongoing Fundraiser!
In recent months, Shutterfly has purchased LifeTouch. We are able to raise money for our schools with a great give back program for every Shutterfly purchase that you make. With each purchase, Shutterfly will give us 8% back to our school! Anyone can use our specialed Shutterfly portal to make a purchase with Shutterfly so be sure to share the portal link with everyone you know! Please see the attached flyer for more information and the link through which you need to use to give Parker Whitney credit for your purchase. If you already have a Shutterfly account, no worries! Just use the special portal and log into your account and you will be set to go!
