Creatives in Schools Art Project
Collab between Paparangi School and CHIMP (Ash Sisson)
Kia ora e te whānau,
Paparangi School is excited to announce that we have been successful in our application for a Creatives in Schools grant from the Ministry of Education for an artist (CHIMP/Ash Sisson) to come and work with our tamariki this term.
Who is Ash Sisson/CHIMP?
Pukehuia Park
Creatives in Schools Project
Ash’s other role is to help support all teachers and children as they follow the creative process to research, design and create their own outdoor artworks. These artworks, alongside the mural, will form an art trail celebrating the visual arts which we will unveil to our parents, caregivers and extended Paparangi School whānau.
Ways You Can Help
There are a couple of ways that you can help support us with the project at this stage:
We are looking for donations of art materials to help us gather the resources needed to complete our artworks. If you have any of the items listed, please bring them to the office or email christinel@paparangi.school.nz to arrange a time to drop them off.
If you, yourself are artistic or would like to help by volunteering your time to come and work with our tamariki on their class art projects, please contact christinel@paparangi.school.nz to express your interest.
Ngā mihi nui,
Christine Latimer
