EHS Wrestling Tournament - 145# Champion Cael Lynch!

EHS will have lots of action this week starting with the JV team traveling to Wellsville Thursday night for a small tournament, 4:15pm. You can get out and see the JV and Varsity compete on Friday night, 6:00pm, at EHS vs Lawrence. The JV will then travel to Ottawa on Saturday and the Varsity will be in action this weekend as they travel to the wonderful city of Tonganoxie where the Cards will compete in a dual tournament against five of the states top 10 ranked teams. Get that Gold!!!! GO CARDS!!!!

Last Saturday, the Eudora freshman boys traveled to Wellsville to play in their season tournament. In the first game, Eudora beat an Osawatomie filled sophomore team 53-22. After a slow start, the Cardinals took a commanding lead going into halftime 24-6. Eudora had an offensive balanced attack as every player scored at least 2 points. Jaiden Bender led the team in scoring with 10 points, while Sam Giffin had 8 points including 2 three pointers, Cole Parker had 8 points, and Maddox Votaw and Micah Barron both chipped in with 7 points. Bender was also a force on the boards collecting a team high 10 rebounds with 9 of them on the offensive end. Conor Dunback had a well around game with 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block.
In the second game, Eudora beat Wellsville 67-37 to clinch the championship. The Cardinals exploded in the second quarter putting up 30 points leading to a 44-15 halftime lead. Eudora dominated on defensive collecting 13 steals and 6 blocks. Again, the Cardinals had a balanced scoring attack. Parker and Votaw both had 10 points, Jaden Hamm scored 9, Barron had 8, and Octavius Lyles, Kale Hammerschmitt, and Dunback all scored 7 points. Hamm led the team with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Eudora will look to build upon its season Thursday as they play at home against Tonganoxie.

JV Girls Basketball - Coach Gray
The Lady Cards evened their season record to 1-1 with a 43-22 win over Ottawa on Wednesday in game one of the Ottawa JV Tournament. Eudora turned in a great defensive performance, limiting the Lady Cyclones to 7 made field goals and 8 free throws. Eudora’s offense got out to a great start and remained consistent and balanced throughout. Scoring: So. Abby Watson 11,

Scholars Bowl - Ms Garrison
The Varsity squad travelled to Turner on 12/12. The team finished 5-1 in their pool earning a 3 seed in bracket play. However, they were knocked out in the Quarterfinal round. Emily Howard finished with 10 points, Matthew Katern earned 30 points, Grace Schieferecke walked away with 50 points, Ender Isenburg had 110 points, and Danny Campbell and KJ Inskeep both earned 150 points.
