Producer Chris Young - Experienced Player in the Music Industry

Music producer Chris Young is an experienced player in the music industry. He has performed as a trumpet player with many big-time bands including the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gun ‘N Roses, Elton John, James Brown, and Stevie Wonder. His primary vocation is in the mixing booth, remixing and producing hit songs.

Producer Chris Young has recorded music for televisions series, movies, and national advertising campaigns for several Fortune 500 companies. Young strives to bring as many talented individuals into the recording booth as he can. He has found new artists and produced breakout hits, as well as established artists as well. Many of the musicians he has worked with have recorded top Billboard hits with Young in the production studio.

Producer Chris Young got his start as a musician by graduating from the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy alongside such musical luminaries as Josh Groban and Jewel. Since then, he has signed a major publishing deal with EMI and recently a deal with Ultra International Music Publishing.

Although he has contributed to many artists’ mainstream success, he says that his favorite part of his job is listening to totally new sounds from around the world. He says that working with many different international artists has widened his perspective on what he calls the “global sound.” Young hopes to continue to find new talent and help established talent reach their potential.

Young has worked with many successful recording artists during his career, including George Clinton, The Weekend, Alicia Keys, and many more. He has worked with both established artists and new ones over the course of his long career, and has earned himself a seat on the National Academy of Recording Arts and Science’s in the Producer and Engineering wing. He says that he relishes the chance to vote for the most influential artists and songs every year for the Grammys because he likes the possibility of bringing in new and old artists for recognition of their accomplishments in the mainstream music industry.

Young, who is based in New York City, has worked around the world with artists from all kinds of backgrounds to find the best new addition to what he calls the global sound. He says the best thing that could happen to many mainstream artists in the US that he has worked with is to have an infusion of new and exciting artists come in from abroad to spread their music throughout the Billboard charts in the United States.

He has produced and orchestrated a number of songs that have appeared in television series, movies, and nationwide advertising campaigns for many Fortune 500 companies. He also appeared in four seasons of “Real Housewives of New York,” and produced a single for one of his costars, Countess Luan, whose single, “Money Can’t Buy You Class,” is a top-ten download on iTunes.

Producer Chris Young says that he has come a long way after starting out as a backup trumpet player. He says that now his greatest joy is providing everyone he knows with musical talent a shot at becoming a star. He loves to see the transformation from a budding artist to a world-touring superstar.
