A Message from our Principal
In yesterday’s Gospel, we hear St. Luke the Evangelist give his version of the Beatitudes. In today’s world, genuine faith sometimes goes against the grain of our human intelligence, or understanding. The way we look at things, is not from the same perspective of Christ’s. We either trust in God and His will, or we trust in something else.
Everyone wants to have a lot of money, in order to have some security for the future, and to enjoy life a little. Sometimes we value money and power as a positive thing because we worked very hard to be successful. It is a contradiction that the good things most people value in life here on earth, can actually become a drawback to our eternal happiness. The answer is to trust in God, and let Him be in control.
Good luck to our basketball teams as they begin their postseason tournament play today. Go Hornets!
Peace in Christ,
Dr. John Shreve
