Colt Corner
Celebrating 40 Years of Excellence
October 7, 2016
Dear Colt Parents,
Today CMS hosted a powerful professional development for district leaders in our Learning Commons (Library). The presenter who flew in from Florida to provide the training went out of her way to tell a quick story of the immediate impact that CMS made on her. The presenter told the following story: as she was struggling to get out of her car with her hands full of materials in the pouring down rain this morning, one of our students went out of their way to go up to her and ask, "Ma'am, is there anything that I can do or anything I can help you with?", and proceeded to assist her. She told the group that this act had a major impact on her and that she was truly impressed; and that in over 30 years in the profession, she had never had a student go out of their way like our CMS student did for her this morning!
This past week our staff heard an impassioned message from me during our faculty meeting, reminding them that we are not just focusing on academics, but also building global citizens. I want you to know that we appreciate your partnership, and understand the fact that in today's day and age it truly takes us all working together to raise productive citizens for the 21st-century. Thank you for partnering with us at CMS in helping build up our future leaders.
BEST,
David Arencibia, Ed.D.
