Random Acts of Kindness

Although we are encouraged to practice social distancing during this time, it doesn't mean we cannot help others. Now is a great opportunity to practice random acts of kindness. Random acts of kindness are unplanned and spontaneous opportunities that anyone can create to show kindness to someone or something. Random acts of kindness are done without expecting anything in return. Research proves that helping others has a positive effect on your well-being. Deep Breathing using your Imagination

The following deep breathing technique is a simple way to explain deep breathing to kids. Try it out yourself! Complete the steps as many times as necessary.

Smell the soup, cool the soup.

  • Pretend there is a hot bowl of soup in front of you (you can pretend it's your favorite kind of soup).
  • Slowly smell the soup by breathing in through your nose.
  • Breathe out slowly through your mouth to cool the soup down.
