Sumner Students Excel in STEM
2016 STEM Expo
Middle Tennessee STEM Expo
Students in the schools and districts that are partners in the Middle Tennessee STEM Innovation Hub (MTSIH) regularly engage in projects involving an extended process of inquiry in response to a complex question, problem, or challenge. These rigorous projects help students learn key academic content and practice skills necessary for success such as communication, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. To recognize the efforts of students in the Middle Tennessee STEM Innovation Hub for their ongoing work, the Hub, in partnership with local institutions of higher education and businesses, hosted a STEM Project Exposition open to individual students or teams of students from grades 5-12.
Results: Sumner County Schools
119 Sumner County students participated in this year's STEM Expo. These students consisted of 34 groups from various schools in grades 5-12.
